All initial visits include an advanced pelvic ultrasound on the highest quality equipment. This exam only takes about 10 minutes. Images are obtained by using a transvaginal ultrasound creating the shortest distance between the sound waves and the body (uterus and ovaries). There is no radiation with ultrasound.
All of our practitioners have a special interest in reproductive imaging and this means a more methodical and deeper level of assessment for you. Items that can be revealed include health of the uterus (uterine septum, Mullerian anomalies), state of the ovaries including follicle counts and, if indicated, fallopian tube assessment. Our atypical approach also allows us to check for more subtle findings of very serious conditions such as endometriosis and adenomyosis.
Computer-assisted follicle measurements provide greater consistency and leave more time to talk with you about the exam.
Ultrasound and foam provide the most comfort and quickest exam completion. Performed at MFC. ExEm was FDA Approved in 2022.
